Picture this, relaxing with some outdoor Shakespeare, or the pulse of some live music, perhaps the buzz and hum of a busy summer market bustling around you. You've got a freshly brewed coffee in hand, the sun beaming down, stunning countryside views everywhere you look and the distant bleat of sheep in the background.
We are Bolton Gate Arts, an ambitious project established to turn our little family farm into an outdoor rural arts centre. We offer a variety of artistic events for our guests to get involved including theatre, music, craft events, markets and much more.
We want to celebrate just how creative Staffordshire can be with performances and events in unorthodox outdoor spaces, combining culture with nature, brining high quality work right the doorsteps of our local rural communities.
All the World's a Stage
In the aftermath of the Coronvirus pandemic, Bolton Gate Arts was established to reimagine new ways of creating work in unorthdox spaces, breathing new, creative, life into our little family farm. We understand the healing properties of artistic engagement and its ability to bring communities together. Our farm offers a relaxed and accessible approach to making art. With work with top quality professional artists, theatre companies and individuals both locally here in Staffordshire and nationally.
We pride ourselves on offering a warm welcome and experience to Bolton Gate Farm and for our shows performing open air theatre with a community behind us makes each day incredible! So whether you are professional artist looking to dive into something new, or you've always been keen to try out new skills in a supportive environment, Bolton Gate Arts is for you!

The Sheep Pen Theatre
A former horse training facility...
Now transformed into our main space for spectacular outdoor performances!
Perfect for picnic blankets and fold out chairs.
Shows and events with stunning views.

The Stables
The outdoor seating area to the cafe.
It is a perfect, cosy performance space for open-mic nights, theatre shows, scratch performances, talks and more.
With a fringe like feel, this is the ideal small scale performances.
